A developer has open-sourced Agent-Autoloop 1.0.0, a refactored lightweight agent automation system built around a minimalist core and a fully plugin-based architecture. The core contains roughly 1,600 lines of Node.js code with zero third-party dependencies, featuring built-in zero-overhead suspension, event-sourcing audit logs, prompt-data separation to prevent prompt injection, and hop-limit circuit breakers. Event triggers, agent execution, notification channels, and deployment pipelines are fully modularized as plugins, with out-of-the-box support for Claude Code, Codex, and agents compliant with the ACP protocol.
Refactored from a year of real-world automation practices, the system pairs a lightweight core with a plugin-driven design to deliver engineering solutions like zero-cost suspension and prompt-data separation, serving as a solid reference implementation for building automated agent workflows.
