Claude has introduced Personal Finance, a new feature allowing users to securely connect bank and credit card accounts via Plaid to check balances, summarize spending, and categorize transactions using everyday natural language. The feature operates with read-only access and cannot transfer funds or provide investment advice, but can detect duplicate charges, identify anomalous bills, and generate income and expense charts. Starting this week, beta testing is open to Pro, Max, and Ultra subscribers in the United States, and interaction data will not be used to train models.
This feature demonstrates a practical application of large language models combined with read-only financial account data, offering a reference interaction paradigm for personal cash flow analysis and automated reconciliation.
