Biocomputing company TBC has officially launched its AI video model, mischief 1, delivering 5x the generation speed of its base model while maintaining output quality. Built on the open-source Wan 2.2, the model optimizes software by emulating information processing mechanisms observed in laboratory living neurons, increasing parameter count by less than 0.1%. Priced at 0.5 cents per second, it is now available on fal and OpenRouter.
By translating the computational properties of living neurons into software-level optimizations, the model achieves a 5x speedup and ultra-low pricing without sacrificing visual quality, demonstrating a novel cost-reduction approach distinct from conventional engineering optimizations.
