The Innovative Products Team under Xiaomi's Technical Committee has open-sourced HachimoDock, a desktop AI device with a DIY hardware cost of around 150 yuan. Featuring a display, physical buttons, and joystick controls, the device supports real-time voice invocation of desktop agents, integrates with Xiaomi Miloco for smart home control, and offers customizable desktop pets and widget creation. Its software source code is now available on GitHub, while the hardware bill of materials (BOM) and assembly guides have been released on the JLC platform.
Combining low-cost hardware with desktop agents and smart home controls, the project provides individual developers with an easily reproducible physical interaction paradigm.
