Starting November 4, Apple is rolling out Apple Intelligence features in China, accessible via the latest iOS developer beta ahead of an official launch with iOS 27.3 in December. Developed in partnership with Alibaba, the localized version is built on Alibaba's Qwen model. The initial wave of capabilities includes real-time translation, Writing Tools, Visual Intelligence, Clean Up in Photos, and summaries for emails and call transcriptions, along with Siri integration with Qwen for content creation.
By partnering with Alibaba's Qwen to deploy its on-device and cloud AI in China, Apple has established a testing roadmap for domestic developers and defined the initial scope of rollout features.
