OpenAI fully rolls out GPT-Image-2.6 with GIF and SVG export support

OpenAI has fully rolled out its image generation model GPT-Image-2.6, cutting overall generation time by 50% with outputs in as fast as 6 seconds, and natively supporting SVG vector graphic exports as well as direct GIF generation from frame sequences. On the API side, this release splits into two variants: Flare, optimized for speed, and Sunburst, focused on consistency. It also decouples scene planning complexity from rendering quality into independent parameters to reduce turnaround times for multi-turn revisions.
