Hercules Founder Brendan Falk on the AI Opportunity
In an interview, Fig co-founder and Hercules founder Brendan Falk discussed the commercial evolution and opportunities in AI-driven software development. He noted that AI is drastically lowering the cost of software development, shifting the market focus from tools for engineers toward empowering non-technical users to build core business systems such as CRMs and ERPs. He added that custom software is designed to drive revenue growth for enterprises rather than simply serving as lower-cost replacements for existing SaaS.
The interview closely examines the transition from command-line developer tools to a full-stack platform for non-technical users, offering a practical reference for automating the creation of vertical business software.
